Payment links
The fastest way to start collecting payments: generate a link from the Paytami dashboard (dash.paytami.com) and share it through whatever channel you want — WhatsApp, email, social media — without writing a single line of integration.
Creating a link
From the dashboard's Payment Links section, you can configure:
- Fixed or variable amount — a set price, or let whoever pays enter the amount (with optional minimum and maximum).
- Single-use or reusable — a link for one charge (e.g. a one-off invoice), or a reusable link, indefinitely or up to a maximum number of uses.
- An optional expiration date.
The generated link looks like https://link.paytami.com/link_... and is the only thing you need to share with your customer.
What the customer sees
Opening the link shows a Paytami-hosted page with your merchant's name, the amount (or a field to enter one, if variable), and the payment method. If the link no longer accepts payment — it expired, ran out of uses, or the merchant deactivated it — the page shows that instead of the payment form.
Programmatic integration (optional)
If you'd rather generate the charge yourself instead of sharing the static link (for example, to put your own "Pay" button on your site), a payment link exposes two public endpoints, no api_key required — opened by the end customer's browser, never by your backend with credentials:
GET /v1/payment_links/{id}— link data to render your own page (title, amount, whether it's payable).POST /v1/payment_links/{id}/pay— creates the charge tied to that link and returns the samePaymentobject asPOST /v1/payments, with itscheckout_urlready to redirect to.

TIP
Every payment attempt on a link goes through a per-IP rate limit — if you build your own page around it, handle the 429 rate_limited code by showing a "try again in a few minutes" message.
